Each spring semester, Harper School Trend Structure students create a “senior collection” as their capstone project. This year, one particular of
the senior structure pupils is a senior citizen.

Dawn Emrath retired from her teaching position in Barrington in 2019. With two grown daughters
and some excess time on her fingers, she considered it would be entertaining to take a stitching class
at Harper. She bought hooked.

“I signed up for the newbie stitching class,” explained Dawn, 66. “I enjoyed it so a great deal,
I just stored going with it.”
